What is Follett My Materials?

Follett “My Materials,” previously listed in Canvas as “Follett Discover,” is a tool that allows faculty and students to view and access their course materials, both inside and outside of their courses. My Materials will also allow you to connect to Kortext, an ebook platform that enhances the student and faculty experience with digital course materials. Please note that this tool will be available in Canvas effective the evening of May 19, 2026.

How do I get to Follett My Materials?

1. Log into Canvas.

2. In the Global Navigation menu (the list of icons on the far left side of your screen), locate and select “My Materials,” pictured below

3. If prompted, select St. John’s University.

4. You will be redirected to the My Materials platform now, which is where you will access your digital materials. For further information, please see the links in the Support section below.
