1. Log in to Connect

There are several ways to log in to the Connect app.

2. In Connect, locate the Widget labeled “New UIS Experience.”

(**If you do not see this widget on your dashboard, please click on the button at the top that says “Find New Widgets.” )

Faculty members should have the “Faculty Grading” card on their dashboard.
(If you do not see it, you can add it through discovery by clicking on the blue “Discover More” button at the bottom of the page.)

Locate the card labeled: Workflow and click on Workflow.

If the screen pops up below, please click LOG IN WITH SAML button.

Click Tasks at the top of the menu.

Navigate to the menu on the left side and click on Self Service icon.

There are 2 ways you can open the task:

  • Click on the blue link from the Grade Change request email.

  • Click on Task title or Options on the right side and Open Task.

Click on the CLAIM TASK button to assign the task to yourself.

If you claim the task (workflow) in error or accidentally, you can release your assignment to the workflow by following these steps. Note: Need a specific user to reassign the workflow to.

  • Click the Reassign button on the right side.

  • Select the User to reassign the task and click REASSIGN button.

The Dean will get an email notification once the Faculty submits the Grade Change request. You can also open the request by clicking the blue link in the email.

Once the task is opened, the Dean has to Approve or Deny the request. If the Grade Change is denied, a comment is required and the Faculty will get an email notification.

After the Dean has approved the Grade Change, the request will go to the Registrars office for final approval and completion of workflow. If the Registrars office denies the Grade Change, then an email will be sent back to the Dean who approved the request.
