Effective January 6, 2025:
There is a 365-day retention policy for all Webex recordings. Any meetings recorded more than 365 days ago will be deleted automatically. If you want to maintain access to your recording longer than this, you will need to back it up. You must first download the recording using Part 1 below, and you have the option to then upload the video to a storage location of your choice. We recommend using Panopto, our dedicated video management system, as shown in the instructions in Part 2 below.

Backing up WebEx Videos
Download a file of the recording:
a. Log onto http://signon.stjohns.edu ; click the Cisco Webex tile and sign in using your St. John’s University email address.
b. Click recording from the left-hand menu; “All” should be selected by default. If not, click the drop-down menu and select “all.”
c. Locate the recording you want to download. Click the download button located on the right-hand side (it looks like a down-facing arrow) to download the file to your computer.
2. Upload the Video to Panopto
a. From your web browser, log into http://stjohns.hosted.panopto.com/
b. Select CanvasProd from the drop-down to complete the log-in.
c. Using the linked instructions, upload the video to Panopto (Directions)
