Analytic Solver Data Mining will need to be applied to users individual account. To request access to the software, the professor will need to contact IT prior to access being granted.
How to verify access has been given to Analytic Solver Data Mining
Once access has been applied to the users account, access can be verified by logging into signon.stjohns.edu.
Select Office 365 icon
2. Select 9 dots in the upper left corner and then select All Apps
3. If applies you will see Analytic Solver Data Mining
Accessing Analytic Solver Data Mining
Once you have verified that you have access to the software, you can beginning using the tool. To begin you will need to either navigate to the app version of Excel or the web version through Office 365. When using this tool you would need to make sure that your St. John’s University account is associated with that version of Excel that you are using.
Excel App
1. Select File and then Account
2. Make sure the account under User Information is your St. John’s University account.
If you are using a shared device or using another person’s device it is recommend that you use the web version of excel.
You may notice that you have Office Updates that are require. Office will be required to be updated prior to the Add-on being accessible.
3. Once you have verified all Office updates are run and that Excel is associated with your St. John’s University account you will b able to access the Data Mining tab

1. Log into signon.stjohns.edu
2. Select Office 365
3. Select Excel
4. Select New Blank Workbook or Open existing workbook
5. Select Data Mining tab
