A.) FIRST-TIME NEW USERS
Upon opening the UIS application tile for the FIRST time, you will be prompted to complete the following information before being directed to the UIS main menu.
Once completed, you will not be prompted for this again.

Security Question/Answer
Confirm your identity by entering the default UIS PIN number.
*PLEASE NOTE: This PIN, Security Question, and Answer will be separate from your Sign-On Portal password. You will need to keep a record of what you create here if you need to reset your PIN in the future.The default PIN is in the following format:
Capital S, Lowercase j, 8 digits of your X# without the XExample: Sj01234567 (if the X# is X01234567)
Create a security question and corresponding answer, then click Submit.

Update EMERGENCY Notification Information
If you opt into the Emergency Notification System (Strongly recommended), please check the "Number is current" box.
This will be the phone number in which you can be reached at if there is an emergency on campus or weather-related University closing. An emergency SMS and voice message will be sent to the phone number entered here.
(* If you are unable to provide a contact number, you may choose to opt-in later by selecting "I choose not to provide an EN number.")Enter an Area Code number and a Phone number.
Then, click "Submit Changes."
A confirmation of the number you entered will appear.
3. Terms of Usage
Please read and click the Continue button at the bottom of the screen.
B.) ALL CURRENT STUDENTS, FACULTY, OR STAFF MEMBERS:
If you are a current student, faculty, or employee, and have logged in to the Sign-On Portal before, please follow these instructions to access UIS.
**All FORMER employees and students, please see the steps in "Section C" below.
Log in to the Sign-On Portal: https://signon.stjohns.edu

2. Click on the UIS application tile within the portal:
C.) Current College Advantage Students or SJU Alumni (Former students who no longer have SJU email access)
**Former employees must contact Human Resources to obtain any information in UIS, such as W-2 or Paystubs. UIS access is disabled on the employment termination date.

The following credentials are required for logging in: (Please note that your username and password will be hidden as you type them in.)
Username: X Number (The “X” must be capitalized)
**If you do not remember your X number, it can be found on a tuition statement or transcript. If not found, you may also contact the Registrar's office: (718) 990-1339.
PIN: After the first time logging in, everyone is required to change their PIN. This will be what you created it to be.
If you have logged in to UIS in the past, but do not remember your PIN, it can be reset on the UIS login page, by clicking the button: Forgot PIN?

You will be required to verify your identity in multiple forms in order to assist with account-related issues. You must know your X number prior to calling.
PLEASE NOTE: All requests to a support agent to reset the password to an account can ONLY be requested by the account holder directly to the agent after verifying their ID. Account resets cannot be performed at the request of any other individual, including a guardian, parent, or spouse.
